Robotics & AI Division
Last updated: April 5, 2026
This Addendum supplements the RIGShare Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between this Addendum and the general Terms of Service, this Addendum controls for all transactions involving the Robotics & AI Division. Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings set forth in the general Terms of Service.
This Addendum applies to all listings, bookings, and transactions conducted through the RIGShare Robotics & AI Division (accessible at rigshare.app/robotics-ai), including but not limited to: GPU compute rentals, industrial robotics, humanoid robots, autonomous drones and unmanned aerial vehicles ("UAVs"), AI infrastructure, 3D printing and additive manufacturing equipment, and IoT sensor systems (collectively, "Tech Equipment").
Tech Equipment is classified into two access categories:
All provisions of the general Terms of Service apply to the Robotics & AI Division except where expressly modified by this Addendum.
All users of the Robotics & AI Division agree to use Tech Equipment solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with this Acceptable Use Policy. Users expressly agree NOT to use any Tech Equipment accessed through the platform to:
Renters of Remote-Access Equipment agree not to:
Users who become aware of a violation of this Acceptable Use Policy must report it promptly to support@rigshare.app. RIGShare reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate access to any Tech Equipment, without refund, upon reasonable belief that this Acceptable Use Policy has been violated.
Autonomous and semi-autonomous Tech Equipment carries elevated risk of bodily injury and property damage. The following additional terms apply:
(a) Operator Qualification. Renters of autonomous systems must demonstrate competence to operate the equipment safely. For UAVs/drones, this includes holding a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (or applicable local certification) and providing proof at the time of booking. For industrial and humanoid robots, Renters must certify that all operators have completed manufacturer-recommended training or equivalent experience.
(b) Insurance Recommendation. RIGShare strongly recommends that Renters of autonomous systems carry commercial general liability insurance with coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence covering bodily injury and property damage arising from the operation of rented Tech Equipment. Renters who operate autonomous systems, industrial robots, drones, or humanoid robots without adequate liability insurance do so entirely at their own risk. Equipment Owners may independently require proof of insurance as a condition of approving a booking, at their sole discretion. The Equipment Protection Plan covers physical damage to the equipment only and does NOT provide bodily injury, death, or third-party property damage coverage of any kind.
(c) Operational Restrictions. Renters agree to operate autonomous systems in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including FAA regulations for UAVs (14 CFR Part 107), OSHA workplace safety standards, and any site-specific safety requirements. Autonomous equipment must not be operated in a manner that endangers human life, in restricted airspace (for UAVs) without proper authorization, or in environments not suitable for the equipment's rated specifications.
(d) Incident Reporting. Any accident, injury, near-miss, or property damage involving autonomous Tech Equipment must be reported to RIGShare within 2 hours of occurrence via the platform's Emergency SOS feature or by contacting support@rigshare.app. Failure to report incidents may result in account suspension and forfeiture of any applicable Protection Plan coverage.
(a) Resource Allocation. Listings for GPU compute and AI infrastructure must accurately specify available resources, including GPU model, VRAM, expected availability windows, network bandwidth, and any usage caps. Owners are responsible for ensuring that listed resources are available and functional during the booked period.
(b) Session Integrity. Owners must not access, monitor, inspect, or interfere with Renter workloads during an active session except as required for legitimate system administration (e.g., addressing hardware failures or security threats). Owners who access Renter data or workloads without authorization may face account termination.
(c) Uptime. For Remote-Access Equipment, an Owner's failure to maintain access for more than 15 consecutive minutes during a booked session (excluding scheduled maintenance disclosed at the time of listing) constitutes a service interruption subject to the Malfunction & Downtime Refund provisions in the Robotics & AI Refund Policy.
(a) Material Safety. Renters are responsible for ensuring that all materials used in rented 3D printing equipment are compatible with the hardware and do not pose a health, safety, or environmental hazard. Renters must not use materials prohibited by the equipment manufacturer.
(b) Prohibited Outputs. Renters must not use 3D printing equipment to manufacture firearms, firearm components, weapons, controlled devices, or any item whose manufacture is prohibited by applicable law.
(a) Privacy Compliance. Renters deploying IoT sensors must comply with all applicable privacy and surveillance laws, including obtaining any required consent from individuals who may be monitored or recorded by the sensors. Renters are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of sensor equipment does not violate wiretapping, eavesdropping, or surveillance statutes in the jurisdictions where the sensors are deployed.
(b) Network Security. Renters must take reasonable precautions to secure IoT devices from unauthorized access, including changing default credentials, applying available firmware updates, and isolating devices from critical network infrastructure where appropriate.
Renters who store or process data on rented Physical Equipment (e.g., drone flight logs, 3D printing files, robot programming data) are solely responsible for removing all personal, proprietary, and sensitive data from the equipment before returning it. RIGShare and the Owner are not liable for any data left on returned equipment.
(a) Data Responsibility. Renters are solely responsible for backing up all data, models, training outputs, code, designs, and other files associated with their Remote-Access sessions. RIGShare does not guarantee the availability or persistence of Renter data after a session ends.
(b) Data Deletion. Owners of Remote-Access Equipment must make commercially reasonable efforts to delete all Renter data, models, weights, datasets, and session artifacts from the hardware within 24 hours of session completion. Owners must not retain, copy, inspect, use, sell, or distribute any Renter data or derivative works.
(c) Confidentiality. Both Owners and Renters agree to treat any proprietary information inadvertently encountered during a transaction as confidential. Neither party shall use, disclose, or exploit the other party's proprietary information for any purpose outside of the rental transaction.
(d) Data Breach Notification. If either party becomes aware of unauthorized access to data stored on or transmitted through Tech Equipment, they must notify the other party and RIGShare within 24 hours of discovery by contacting support@rigshare.app.
RIGShare does not access, store, process, or control any Renter data on Tech Equipment. RIGShare is not a data processor or data controller with respect to Renter workloads or content. All data-related disputes are between the Owner and Renter.
Certain Tech Equipment, including high-performance GPUs (e.g., NVIDIA H100, A100) and advanced AI infrastructure, may be subject to U.S. Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") and other trade control laws. By using the Robotics & AI Division, all users represent and warrant that:
Owners listing high-performance compute hardware subject to export controls must ensure that their listings comply with applicable export regulations. Owners of GPU compute must implement reasonable access controls to prevent access from prohibited jurisdictions, including IP-based geofencing where feasible.
Violations of this Section 5 will result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of all pending payments, and referral to appropriate U.S. government agencies. RIGShare LLC reserves the right to cooperate fully with any government investigation into potential export control or sanctions violations.
Renters retain all right, title, and interest in any data, models, training outputs, code, designs, and intellectual property created using rented Tech Equipment. Neither RIGShare nor the Owner acquires any ownership interest in Renter-created works by virtue of the rental transaction.
Owners retain all right, title, and interest in any proprietary software, firmware, configurations, or optimizations installed on their Tech Equipment. Renters must not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract any Owner-proprietary software or configurations from rented equipment.
All provisions of Section 17 (Intellectual Property & Prohibited Technical Activities) of the general Terms of Service apply to the Robotics & AI Division without modification.
Renters acknowledge that the operation of autonomous systems, industrial robots, drones, and other Tech Equipment involves inherent risks of bodily injury, death, and property damage. Renters voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that RIGShare is not responsible for injuries, deaths, or damages resulting from the operation of Tech Equipment.
In addition to the indemnification obligations in Section 21 of the general Terms of Service, Renters of autonomous systems and industrial robotics agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RIGShare LLC and the Equipment Owner from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RIGShare's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Robotics & AI Division shall not exceed the platform service fees collected from the applicable transaction. RIGShare shall not be liable for any loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, training time lost, model degradation, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of Tech Equipment, whether accessed physically or remotely.
Renters are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all software licenses, subscriptions, and permissions required to run their workloads on rented Tech Equipment, including but not limited to NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit licenses, driver licenses, operating system licenses, and any third-party application licenses. Neither RIGShare nor the Owner is responsible for ensuring that Renter workloads comply with applicable software licensing terms.
Owners must disclose in their listings any pre-installed software and whether it is available for Renter use or restricted to system operation only.
For all Robotics & AI Division transactions:
This Section supersedes Section 9 of the Robotics & AI Refund Policy to the extent of any inconsistency.
RIGShare reserves the right to modify this Addendum at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform and/or by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Robotics & AI Division after the effective date of any modification constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
